Glens Falls Center’s Antique Car Show a Success
Along With a Vintage Firetruck, Everyone Enjoys Visiting 40 to 50 Year-Old Classics

By Jeff Jacomowitz
Nearly 20 vintage cars, a mixture of antiques and hot rods, ranging from the early-1960s to the mid-1970s flooded the premises at Glens Falls Center on Sherman Avenue on Thursday, June 21 showing the many styles from yesteryear. In addition to the antique cars, a 1933 Sanford firetruck supplied by the West Glens Falls Fire Company was also present bringing many photo opportunities with young and older alike.

“What a great time this was,” said Frances Filkins, Recreation Director at Glens Falls Center. “The whole community was able to come to the Center to enjoy taking pictures with these gorgeous cars and the relic firetruck that was brought us by the wonderful first responders of the West Glens Falls Fire Company. I want to thank Kevin Miner and his crew for an amazing time.”
