Hot To Typical Summer Temps: Work Week Weather
Here's what you can expect weather-wise for the first week of summer in the mid-Hudson Valley.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — After the Hudson Valley gets through the heat and humidity of Monday, the rest of the work week looks better, except for a chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday. But first we have to endure near-record heat that will usher in thunderstorms around the region.
A cold front will move southward across the Northeast Monday evening into Wednesday, producing showers and thunderstorms.
According to Accuweather.com, the front will bring more seasonable air throughout the entire Northeast with temperatures more typical to early summer. After all, summer arrives at 6:07 a.m. Thursday, June 21.

- Monday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 101. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between midnight and 4am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 84. North wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.
- Wednesday: A slight chance of showers after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Wednesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
- Thursday: A chance of showers before 9am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
