Hudson Valley Man Arrested For 2019 Armed Robbery: Police

Police said the man injured the service station clerk during the armed robbery.

PLEASANT VALLEY, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of robbing a service station two years ago in Pleasant Valley.

On Monday, the New York State Police arrested Patrick A. Simmons, 55, of Hyde Park, and charged him with two counts of second-degree robbery and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Troopers were sent April 30, 2019, to the Mobil service station at 1415 Route 44 in the town of Pleasant Valley for a reported robbery in which someone displayed a firearm and injured the store clerk, police said.

Simmons was identified as the suspect after a two-year investigation in conjunction with the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office and the New York State Police Forensic Intelligence Center.

He was arraigned in the Milan Town Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, $100,000 bond or $150,000 partially secured bond.
