Hudson Valley Man Wins $1M From Lottery Scratch-Off Ticket

MIDDLETOWN, NY — An Orange County man won $1 million from a New York Lottery scratch-off ticket.
Lottery officials said Enrique Rodriguez of Middletown claimed the top prize on the 25X scratch-off ticket, which was a part of the X Series of games.
He bought the lucky ticket at Fine Fare, 1136 Ogden Ave. in the Bronx.

"You have to be in it to win it," Rodriguez said when he claimed the prize.
He opted to receive his $1 million prize as a lump sum totaling $546,840 after withholding was taken out.

Lottery officials said that, to date, there were three top prizes available on the X Series: 25X ticket.
Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
According to the agency, scratch-off games in the state have generated more than $4.2 billion in total sales during the fiscal year 2020-21.
School districts in Orange County received more than $94 million in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same time period.
