Hudson Valley Young Professionals Host Annual Toy Drive

Since November, donations have come in the forms of toys, games, and gifts to give to the less fortunate in the community for the holidays.

From Hudson Valley Young Professionals: For the eighth year, the Hudson Valley Young Professionals, a committee of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, hosted a holiday toy drive with donations this year benefiting children and teens receiving services through Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County.

“We are grateful for the continued support we receive from the community. The generous contributions … will help brighten the spirits of those in need this holiday season,” said co-chair Julia Pagones from Dutchess County Government.

Since November, more than 10 large moving and storage boxes were filled to overflowing with toys, games, and gifts to bring cheer this holiday season.

Foam and Wash Car Wash generously sponsored the toy drive and Guardian Self-Storage donated the boxes to be used for gift collection.

The Hudson Valley Young Professionals provides opportunities to learn, lead, grow personally and professionally, network effectively and give back to the community. Through educational forums, training sessions, social networking events, and community involvement, the group gives members the tools to develop business skills in a professional environment. The Chamber believes that the more informed, involved and networked young professionals are, the more likely they will stay in the region, and the more influence they can have on what the region becomes.
