I-84 Lane Closure For 'Indeterminate Period Of Time'

EAST FISHKILL, NY — The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists that a portion of the right westbound lane on Interstate 84 between Exit 17 (Ludingtonville Road) and Exit 16 (Taconic State Parkway) in the Town of East Fishkill is expected to be closed for an indeterminate amount of time while crews assess and perform emergency maintenance repairs. Motorists should anticipate delays and seek alternate routes if possible.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
