K-9 Vinn Leads Troopers To Over 2 Pounds Of Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin Stash On I-87: NYSP
An upstate NY woman is now facing slew of felony charges after troopers got a little help from a nosy police dog.

TOWN OF NEWBURGH, NY — Troopers took a significant stash of potentially dangerous drugs off the streets, thanks in part to an assist from a four-legged colleague in blue.
The New York State Police say that on Wednesday, around 11:50 a.m., troopers from the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit stopped a vehicle traveling north on I-87, in the Town of Newburgh, for traffic violations.
State police identified the driver and only occupant as 38-year-old Katrina A. Haeger, of Whitehall.

After an exterior sniff of the vehicle, NYSP K-9 Vinn alerted troopers to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle found over two pounds of cocaine hidden inside, according to NYSP. A search of Haeger led to the recovery of around two grams of fentanyl and 4.4 grams of heroin.
She was then arrested and charged with felony first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell); and misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
