MA Woman Accused Of Drunken Driving After Crash

The woman suffered serious injuries that were not life-threatening

STANFORD, NY — A Massachusetts woman was accused of drunken driving after a one-car crash Tuesday in the Town of Stanford. State police said, shortly before 10 p.m., troopers were sent to Route 82 in Stanford for a report of a car crashing into a pole.

An investigation found Victoria R. Wheaton, 27, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, did not stay in her lane and struck a utility pole while under the influence of alcohol, police said.

She suffered serious injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital by Northern Dutchess Paramedics.

Police said that Stanford Fire and Emergency Medical Services were also on the scene.

Wheaton was issued uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Stanford Court May 27.
