Man Arrested On Thruway With Illegal Marijuana Products
Probable cause to search the man's vehicle was found by the trooper.

Newburgh, NY – On Dec. 11, around 12:30 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the Town of Newburgh for vehicle and traffic violation. During the trooper’s interview of the driver for the traffic violation, probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established.
The driver, Daniel Klein, 31, of Rochelle Park, New Jersey, was found to be in possession of about 129 grams of marijuana, 1 gram of marijuana wax, two glass vape cartridges containing approximately 29 grams of liquid concentrated marijuana and 540 grams of edible marijuana infused products. Klein was taken into custody, transported and processed at the Newburgh barracks where he was subsequently charged with the following:
- Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 4th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
- Vehicle and Traffic Violation
Klein was issued an appearance ticket and released. A return court date of Jan. 7, 2019, was set in the Town of Newburgh Court.
