Man Caught On Thruway With Cocaine, Rat Poison
Probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established.

WOODBURY, NY — A Bronx man was arrested after a traffic stop for drug possession. State police said Rodolfo Castro, 39, of the Bronx, was stopped on I-87 in the Town of Woodbury around 4:05 p.m. Nov. 28.
During the interview, probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established.
A search of Castro and his vehicle about 3.5 grams of cocaine, 75 grams of boric acid — or rat poison — and 3.2 grams of marijuana were found.

Castro was taken to the Newburgh barracks where he was charged with the following:
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony
- First-degree imitation controlled substance-manufacture/sell, a misdemeanor
- Unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation
- Violation of probation or parole, a felony
- Vehicle and traffic violation
Castro was arraigned in the Town of Woodbury Court. No bail information or return court date was available.
