Man Drives Drunk To Break Into LaGrange House: Police
Police also said the man was driving with a suspended license.

LAGRANGE, NY — A Poughkeepsie man who was allegedly drunk is accused of breaking into a LaGrange home.
State Police said Brendan P. McGrath, 42, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, all felonies.
Around 11:40 p.m. March 23, Troopers responded to a LaGrange residence for a reported domestic disturbance.

Their investigation found that McGrath allegedly forced his way into the victim’s home, after having driven there while he was intoxicated.
Police said McGrath had suspended driving privileges due to a pending DWI charge from October 2016.

He was arraigned in the Town of LaGrange Justice Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.
McGrath’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 38 in the Town of LaGrange court.
State Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
