Tree-Trimmer Electrocuted In Hudson Valley Monday

The Newburgh resident was working on a tree 40 feet in the air.

CORNWALL, NY — A tree-trimming company employee was killed Monday after he was electrocuted by a live power line. John B. Nuzzolo, 39, a Newburgh resident, died while he was trimming a tree 40 feet in the air around 9 a.m.

He was a third-party contractor working for Simply Stump Grinding and Tree Removal, FIOS1 News said.

The power grid was cut by Central Hudson, which affected about 2,500 customers for about an hour.
