
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Voters in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster counties went to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 7 for the General Election. A number of races were to be decided, including a state Supreme Court justice and the next Westchester county executive. Also, there are state proposals and locals races to be decided.
Dutchess County
In Dutchess County, there contested races for county legislature, along with a wide race for county comptroller. Many towns are electing supervisors and other positions.

In the City of Poughkeepsie, there were contested races for all councilmembers except for Wards 2 and 3. There was also a contested race for councilmember at large.

Ulster County
In Ulster County, choices were made for a few county legislature seats. Besides races in the towns of Lloyd and Marlborough, there was a contest for New Paltz town supervisor.

Orange County
For Orange County, there were local races in the cities of Newburgh, Port Jervis and Middletown, as well as local town races and the county legislature.
