Middletown Man Accused Of Assault During Domestic Incident
Police said he damaged a car and hit someone in the head with a rock.
MIDDLETOWN, NY — A Middletown man was accused of damaging a car and hitting someone in the head with a rock during a domestic incident.
The New York State Police said Colleam Small, 22, from Middletown, was arrested in the town of Deerpark around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
The investigation found that Small damaged a 1998 Mercedes Benz and struck the victim in the head with a rock, police said.

According to authorities, the victim was able to call 911 using a cell phone.
Small left the scene following the incident; the victim was taken to a local hospital and was released after being treated.

Police said Small was located and taken into custody.
He was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief, felonies, and second-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor.
Small was arraigned virtually in the Town of Deerpark Court and released on his own recognizance.
A judge issued an order of protection on behalf of the victim.
