Motorcycle Crash Leads To Felony DWI Arrest: NYSP
Police said at one point the motorcyclist was traveling 100 mph in a 55 mph zone.

CATSKILL, NY — A motorcycle crash led to the arrest Sunday of a Columbia County man. State police out of Catskill said they saw a Kawasaki motorcycle that was traveling in excess of 100 mph in 55 mph zone.
The cycle was heading west on Route 23 in the Town of Catskill.
A traffic stop was initiated by trooper, but the operator of the motorcycle didn't comply.

The motorcyclist turned right onto Cauterskill Road going south and then made a U-turn on Paul Horn Road to travel north on Cauterskill Road.
As he approached an S-turn on Cauterskill Road, he lost control of the bike and came to rest in a marshy area.

The bike was driven by Michael J. Cristaldi, 34, of Niverville, Columbia County. He was not injured and was taken into custody.
Police said Cristaldi was driving while intoxicated.
He was charged with violation of probation and DWI-previous conviction in 10 years, both felonies, third-degree flee an officer in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
Cristaldi was arraigned in the Village of Catskill Court and sent to the Greene County Sheriff's Office with no bail.
