Nebraska Man Arrested In Hudson Valley Child Sexual Exploitation Case: NYSP

The former Town of Marlborough resident was issued an appearance ticket, according to New York State Police officials.

TOWN OF MARLBOROUGH, NY — A tip led to the arrest of a former Hudson Valley resident on charges related to the sexual exploitation of a child, according to NYSP.

The New York State Police say that on Feb. 26, the Troop F Computer Crime Unit arrested 22-year-old Colin Sutton, of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was charged with felony possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16 years of age.

The investigation began in January of 2025 after the NYSP Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce received a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The investigation was conducted by the Troop F Computer Crimes Unit, the Troop F BCI at Highland, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.

The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant for electronic devices at Sutton's former home in the Town of Marlborough.

Sutton was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to appear in the Town of Marlborough Court.
