Newburgh Man Accused Of Having Sex With Child

NEWBURGH, NY — A Newburgh man was taken into custody March 6 for alleged having sex with a child.

State Police said members of the Orange County Child Abuse Unit arrested Jose A. Majano, 61, of Newburgh.

An investigation found that Majano had sexual intercourse with a child less than 13 years of age, police said.

He was charged with predatory sexual assault of a child, a felony.

Majano was arraigned in the City of Newburgh Court and sent to the Orange County Jail with no bail set.
