Newburgh Man Accused Of Selling Fentanyl In Poughkeepsie
The Dutchess County District Attorney's Office Drug Task Force has been conducting an investigation into dangerous narcotics in the area.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A Newburgh man was accused of selling fentanyl in the Poughkeepsie area.
The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force said Wednesday that Takai Jackson, 27, of the city of Newburgh, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felonies.
The task force has been conducting an ongoing investigation into dangerous narcotics being transported from Newburgh into the Poughkeepsie area.

Jackson was identified by the task force as having transported fentanyl from Newburgh to Poughkeepsie on multiple occasions. He was taken into custody Tuesday in the town of Poughkeepsie without incident.
Police said fentanyl and cocaine were seized at the time of his arrest.

Jackson was taken to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department where he was processed. He was arraigned Wednesday in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and released to the supervision of Dutchess County Probation.
