NH Man Accused Of Drunken Driving Twice In 3 Days
Police said his blood alcohol content was 0.21 percent one day and 0.24 percent the other.

MIDDLETOWN, NY — A New Hampshire man was accused twice in three days of driving while drunk.
The New York State Police said Jonathan McCormick, 61, of New Boston, New Hampshire, was charged Monday and Wednesday with aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Police said troopers responded around 1:10 p.m. Monday to Garnet Health in Wallkill for a report of a hit-and-run in the parking lot.

The car leaving the lot was seen going down East Main Street, and when the trooper tried to pull it over, the driver, later identified as McCormick, refused to comply and traveled to Route 17 where a pursuit began, police said.
After about 5 miles, with a top speed of 80 mph, McCormick was taken into custody without incident.

Authorities said he had a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent and was charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
He was also charged with reckless driving and fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, misdemeanors.
Troopers said, while searching McCormick's car, they found a Colt .223 semiautomatic rifle and a Marlin 9mm semiautomatic rifle. He was additionally charged with failing to register a weapon, a misdemeanor.
Authorities said the driver of the vehicle originally struck did not fill out an accident report because there was minimal damage to the car.
McCormick was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Wallkill Court Oct. 26.
Two days later, around 9 p.m., state police went to Route 208 in Montgomery because of a report of an erratic driver.
The vehicle was located by troopers and was seen being operated erratically.
After a traffic stop, police identified the driver as McCormick.
Police said he was impaired due to alcohol, with a blood alcohol content of 0.24 percent.
McCormick was again charged with aggravated DWI and released on an appearance ticket.
His next court date is Oct. 27 in the Town of Montgomery Court.
