Orange County Man Charged With Vehicular Manslaughter
Police said he crossed over the double yellow line into oncoming traffic.

MONTGOMERY, NY — State Police arrested an Orange County man after a fatal motor vehicle accident.
Police said Dennis E. Wilson Jr., 32, of Walden, was charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter, a felony, driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
State Police were called March 4 by the Town of Montgomery Police Department to take over the investigation of the fatal accident.

It occurred on Route 52 near Rider Road in Montgomery.
Police found that Wilson was driving east on Route 52 jsut west of Rider Road in a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he crossed over the double yellow lines striking a 2006 Hyundai Accent head-on.

The Accent was being driven by Jason G. Exley, 28, also of Walen. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wilson was taken to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
He was arraigned in the hospital room and remanded to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff in lieu of $50,000 bail or $75,000 bond upon release from the hospital.
Wilson’s next court appearance will be in the Town of Montgomery Court March 8.
