Orange County Woman Accused Of Sexual Conduct With Child

MIDDLETOWN, NY — A Middletown woman was accused of having sexual conduct with a child. The New York State Police Child Abuse Unit in Orange County said Jaklinne Vilchez Salazar, 29, of Middletown, was charged with second-degree criminal sexual act, a felony, and second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor, misdemeanors.

A joint investigation with Child Protective Services determined that Salazar engaged in sexual conduct with a child less than 15 years old.

She was arraigned in the City of Newburgh Court and sent to the Orange County Jail on $5,000 bail or $15,000 bond.

The State Police Child Abuse Unit in Orange County is comprised of the state police, Orange County Sheriff's Department, Port Jervis Police Department and the Village of Goshen Police Department.
