Pair Accused Of Having 2+ Pounds Of Cocaine
State police stopped their car initially for a vehicle and traffic violation.
WOODBURY, NY — A traffic stop on the Thruway yielded accusations of possessing more than 2 pounds of cocaine. The New York State Police said troopers stopped a car on I-87 in the town of Woodbury for a vehicle and traffic violation.
Troopers said, while interviewing the driver, probable cause was established to search the car and its occupants.
The driver, Christina M. Reyes, 32, of the Bronx, and the passenger, Jeremie J. Rosario, 31, of New York, were found to be in possession of about 2.2 pounds of cocaine.

Rosario resisted arrest, but was taken into custody after a brief struggle, police said. Reyes was taken into custody without incident.
They were both taken to the Newburgh barracks and were charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felonies.

Rosario was additionally charged with resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration, misdemeanors.
The pair was virtually arraigned in the Town of Woodbury Court and sent to the Orange County Jail without bail.
