Police Release ID Of Man Killed In Goshen Crash

The two-vehicle crash occurred Monday, police said.

GOSHEN, NY — State police have released the names of the people involved in the deadly two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday in the Town of Goshen. Anthony P. Galimi, 80, of Yonkers, was killed as a result of the crash.

His wife — Georgeanna L. Galimi, 76 — was seriously injured and airlifted to Westchester Medical Center where she is currently listed in critical condition.

Police said Anthony Galimi was driving a 2018 Ford Edge around 12:15 p.m. Monday and stopped at a stop sign on Pumpkin Swamp Road.

He tried making a left turn onto Pulaski Highway but was struck by a 2008 Peterbilt Motors tractor trailer which subsequently overturned.

Randolph L. Baim, 47, of Youngsville, Sullivan County, who was driving the tractor trailer, told police he was not injured as a result of the accident.

Anthony Galimi was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by the emergency room doctor.

State police were assisted by the Village of Florida and Town of Goshen police departments, the Village of Florida Fire Department, the Town of Goshen Ambulance and Mobile Life.
