Rider Killed In Wappinger Motorcycle Crash ID'd As Poughkeepsie Teen
He was riding a 2007 Honda CBR600RR at high speeds and passing cars illegally, when he lost control, according to New York State Police.

WAPPINGER, NY — Officials have identified the teenager killed in a high-speed motorcycle crash.
New York State Police say that on October 18, around 4:30 p.m., troopers responded to a fatal motorcycle crash on Old Hopewell Road in the Town of Wappinger.
Their investigation found that 19-year-old Tyler N. Virgo, of Poughkeepsie, was riding a 2007 Honda CBR600RR east at a high rate of speed, passing multiple vehicles illegally, and lost control of the motorcycle for unknown reasons.

The motorcycle then collided with the guardrail on the north shoulder of Old Hopewell Road just east of Cedar Hill Road and Virgo was ejected, according to troopers.
Virgo was taken by Empress EMS to the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

State police say the investigation remains ongoing.
