Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Much Of Hudson Valley

BREAKING. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Middletown and Kiryas Joel as well.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for much of the Hudson Valley.

The watch is in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday for Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

According to the forecast some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain.

Wind gusts could be as high as 26 mph.

A hazardous weather outlook is still in effect for Columbia and Ulster counties.
