Snow Emergency Declared For City Of Poughkeepsie
All city-owned parking lots will be open for free public parking through Monday, Jan. 21.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A snow emergency will be put into place in the City of Poughkeepsie effective at 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. Mayor Rob Rolison said that it is predicted that the public health and safety will be endangered by the expected snow and, combined with the cold and wind, make snow removal significantly difficult.
He said that vehicles parked on the public roadways will hamper the city's ability to address the problem.
Because of the emergency declaration, all vehicles must be removed from city streets by no later than 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19.
