State Police Rescue Black Lab From Creek [PHOTOS]
Two of the state police helped wrangle an elephant back to its home over the weekend.

MINISINK, NY — Marley is a lucky dog. The pooch was rescued from Rutgers Creek in the Town of Minisink by New York State Police Troop F Zone Sergeant David Scott, who was recently involved in wrangling an elephant back to an animal sanctuary.
According to a post on Facebook posted Wednesday, Nov. 14, Scott, along with Sergeant Bryan Tormey and Trooper Matt McKinney, who also assisted with the elephant, rescued the 12-year-old black Labrador Retriever from the creek.
Marley's owner had been looking for him for about three and a half hours.

A local resident heard Marley howling and called 911.

The pooch was cold and wet, but not injured, police said.
