Summer Camp For Yeshiva Students Shut Down Over Raw Sewage
Neighbors had been complaining about the smell over the summer.

KERHONKSON, NY — A summer camp for Orthodox yeshiva students has been shut down for the season by the Ulster County Health Department. Camp Rav Tov on Cherrytown Road in Kerhonkson was given until 5 p.m. Monday to close.
There have been complaints about the facility’s failing septic system and the untreated raw sewage on the ground, the Daily Freeman said.
Ulster County’s Health Commissioner Dr. Carol Smith said the raw sewage poses a health hazard to the community as well as the campers.
