Taconic Parkway Ramp Closure Expected Wednesday

FISHKILL, NY — The state Department of Transportation will be closing the ramp to Interstate 84 east from the southbound Taconic State Parkway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Weather permitting, crews will be performing maintenance activities.

The DOT said drivers should follow the posted detour and should use caution when traveling through the work zone area, paying particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
