Stores Announced For Target Same-Day Delivery: UPDATE

More than 2,000 new shoppers will be hired to take care of filling orders and delivering them.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Same-day delivery from Target stores will be available in the Hudson Valley beginning Tuesday, July 31. A spokeswoman for Shipt, the online delivery marketplace which will be handling the service for Target, told Patch that same-day delivery will be available from the Middletown, Poughkeepsie, Monroe, Newburgh and Kingston Target stores.

Hudson Valley residents can find out if their area is covered by going to Shipt and entering a ZIP Code.

On Aug. 14, same-day delivery will be available from the Mount Kisco and White Plains Target stores.

The celebrate the beginning of the service, anyone who signs up for a Shipt membership before Aug. 14 will receive an annual membership for $49. After that date, the membership will cost $99 a year.

Leading up to the launch, Shipt is planning to add more than 2,000 new shoppers in the New York metropolitan area to take care of filling orders and delivering them. To apply to be a Shipt shopper, go to “Get Paid to Shop.”

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Attention Target shoppers in the Hudson Valley. As soon as the end of July you may be able to get same-day delivery from your Target store. The retailer announced Thursday that residents in the Hudson Valley and Kingston will be the first to have the service in the New York metropolitan area.

Long Island, the five boroughs of New York, as well as Mount Kisco and White Plains should see same-day delivery sometime during the first half of August, homeworldbusiness.com said.

Customers will be able to buy about 55,000 different products, including groceries, when the service is available.

Target announced the purchase of the online same-day delivery platform Shipt in Dec. 2017. At the time, Target said the service will be in a majority of stores, and in all major markets, before the 2018 holiday season.

There are Target stores throughout the Hudson Valley, including Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Middletown and Kingston in the mid-Hudson Valley. There are also stores in Clarkstown and Spring Valley in Rockland County, and in White Plains, Mount Kisco and Mount Vernon in Westchester County.

A call to Target’s media relations requesting information about which specific locations will be offering same-day delivery was not immediately returned.

Customers will have to sign up for Shipt, which is $99 for an annual membership, to use same-day delivery.

However, if you sign up before Aug. 1, you will pay $49, newsobserver.com said.
