Task Force Sting Leads To Dealer Who Sold Cocaine-Fentanyl Mix: DA
Previously, a driver killed in a September car crash was found with a white powder later confirmed to be cocaine mixed with fentanyl.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — An investigation into a fatal car crash eventually led to a drug sting that took a potentially deadly mix of cocaine and fentanyl off the streets, according to law enforcement.
The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force said that an investigation into the sale of cocaine which also contained fentanyl in the Town of East Fishkill resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old dealer.
Drug Task Force agents started an investigation after the East Fishkill Police Department requested assistance with a drug investigation launched after a fatal auto accident took place on September 12.

The driver killed in the accident was found with a white powder substance believed to be narcotics. Field testing by DTF agents revealed the substance to be cocaine and fentanyl mixed together.
Police say the person who sold the cocaine mixed with fentanyl was 32-year-old Joseph M. Kundrat. Agents arrested him on September 30, after he turned himself into the Town of East Fishkill Police Department.

Kundrat was charged with felony third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was later arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Justice Court and released.
The accident investigation remains under investigation by the Town of East Fishkill Police Department and more charges against Kundrat may be pending.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force was assisted by the District Attorney’s Office and the Town of East Fishkill Police Department.
The Drug Task Force continues to warn the community that cocaine and other drugs are often contaminated or mixed with fentanyl and have been the source of many overdose deaths over the past several years in Dutchess County.
