Thunderstorms, Hail Possible in Mid Hudson Valley

MID HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Columbia, Dutchess, Greene and Ulster counties today. Orange County is also under a Hazardous Weather Outlook, but not for the same reason!

The NWS said:

There is a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening associated with a cold front passage. Thunderstorms are not expected to be severe, although some storms could produce gusty winds and
small hail.

Orange County, like Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester, is at enhanced chance of fire spreading due to low humidity and gusty winds.
