Tinted Window Traffic Stop Leads To Stun Gun Possession Charge
Police said the woman was illegally in possession of a weapon.

FISHKILL, NY — A Newburgh woman faces a felony charge for having a stun gun.
State Police said they stopped a vehicle on Route 9 for unlawful window tint Feb. 13 around 1 p.m.
Desiree Torres, the driver, was found to be in possession of an electronic stun gun, police said.

Torres was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.
She was arraigned at the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.

Torres will next appear in the Town of Fishkill Court Feb. 15.
