'Today' Broadcasts From Ice Breaker On Hudson [VIDEO]

Weatherman Al Roker braved the elements and joined the Penobscot Bay on the icy waters of the Hudson River.

The Hudson River draws all kinds of celebrities — even when the wind chill is in the negative double digits. Al Roker from the morning television show "Today" was broadcasting from a Coast Guard vessel Thursday.

He was reporting live in the Kingston area from the USCGC Penobscot Bay (WTGB 107), an icebreaking tug that calls Bayonne, New Jersey, home.

In a videos posted to Facebook, Roker could be seen talking while on camera while the tug did what it is designed to do: break up ice on the Hudson River.
