Trial Set For Woman Accused Of Killing Fiance While Kayaking

GOSHEN, NY — The long-awaited murder trial for Angelika Graswald has been set for March 13 in Orange County Court.

That is the date that jury selection will start for the 36-year-old woman accused of murder and manslaughter in the death of Vincent Viafore, her finance, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

A judge decided in December that videotaped statements and two alleged confessions made to police could be used at trial.

Graswald’s next court appearance will be for a pre-trial conference March 7, the Times Herald-Record said.
