PLEASANT VALLEY, NY — A man's body has been found in a Dutchess County creek, according to authorities.

New York State Police in Poughkeepsie are investigating after troopers responding to a report of suspicious activity found a dead body in Wappinger Creek, in the Town of Pleasant Valley.

State police said the call came in Sunday afternoon, at about 4:20 p.m. Troopers were sent to Main Street in Pleasant Valley where they located the body of a man in the creek.

At this time, state police reported there are no indications of foul play. The investigation remains ongoing, according to state police. The identity of the dead man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to state police.
