Upstate Man Accused Of Selling Illegal Fireworks

GREENVILLE, NY — An upstate man was accused of selling illegal fireworks after being stopped for speeding in Orange County. State police said Matthew Zullo, 51, of Mechanicville, Saratoga County, was charged with unlawful sale of fireworks, a misdemeanor.

Police said Zullo was stopped on I-84 for traveling 86 mph in a 55 mph zone in the town of Greenville.

Troopers said they saw a large amount of fireworks on the rear seat of Zullo's 2004 Mercury.

He was arrested and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Greenville Court July 23.
