GOSHEN, NY — Video footage of the shooting Tuesday of Town of Montgomery Police Chief Arnold “Butch” Amthor was released by the Orange County District Attorney. The footage, which lasts two and a half minutes, shows how the response to a domestic dispute escalated to the shooting of the chief and the death of the suspect, Anthony Bostick.

The incident, which occurred in an apartment on Abbey Avenue in the Village of Maybrook, is still being investigated, the recordline.com said, and the case will be turned over to a grand jury.

The body-cam video shows Amthor falling to the floor after being shot, and an officer can be heard saying that Bostick has shot himself, News12.com said.
