Wallkill Man Arrested For Predatory Sexual Assault Of A Child
Police said he also attempted to sexually abuse another child.

WALLKILL, NY — A Wallkill man was accused of sexually assaulting one child and attempting to sexually abuse another. State police said Jacob Hogencamp, 45, of Wallkill, was arrested and charged with predatory sexual assault of a child, a felony.
An investigation by the Troop F Orange County Child Abuse Unit in conjunction with the Orange County Child Protective Service found that Hogencamp engaged in an ongoing course of sexual conduct with a child less than 13 years old.
Additionally, he attempted to sexually abuse a second victim who was less than 17 years old.

As a result, Hogencamp was also charged with third-degree attempted sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors.
He was arraigned in the Town of Woodbury Court and sent to the Orange County Jail without bail.

Hogencamp is due back in court May 15.
