Wallkill Man Caught With 181 Bags Of Heroin: Police
Police said he tried to flee on foot and, when he was caught, assaulted the officers.

WALLKILL, NY — A Wallkill man was arrested and charged with three felonies after police said he was found with drugs and a weapon and tried to assault three officers. The Town of Wallkill Police Department said, around 4:28 p.m. June 8, Jacob Gill, 27, of Wallkill was stopped in his vehicle by police in the parking lot of Stewart’s Shop on Tower Drive.
Police said Gill tried to flee on foot, but was caught a short distance away.
While being taken into custody, he assaulted three officers, police said.

Gill was found to be in possession of 181 bags of heroin, 19 grams of cocaine and a knife, according to authorities.
A search warrant was executed at his residence, and officers found an additional 10 bags of heroin, 1 gram of cocaine and a large quantity of packaging material used for narcotics.

Gill was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies.
He was arraigned in the Town of Wallkill Court and sent to the Orange County Jail on $45,000 bail or $90,000 bond
Gill’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 13.
