Wappingers Falls Fire Displaces 3 Families

The Red Cross was helping the affected families.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — A fire in a multifamily residence in Wappingers Falls displaced three families Thursday. The fire started around 9 a.m. in a basement and went up a wall into a kitchen.

About 10 people live in the attached town homes on North Gilmore Boulevard and they all were able to get out safely, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

American Red Cross representatives were on the scene helping the families who were affected.
