DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — In advance of what could be the first serious snowfall of the season, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Dutchess County.

The advisory is in effect from midnight Thursday to noon Friday.

Snow is expected, with total accumulations of 2 to 5 inches, the weather service said.
