Woman Burglarizes Columbia County Home: Police
The homeowner got a text message from the home's security system that there was movement in the premises.

LIVINGSTON, NY — A Ravena woman was arrested for breaking into someone’s home and having stole property. State police charged Heather L. Wood, 23, of Ravena, with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felonies, and second-degree criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor.
Police around noon July 18 troopers were sent by Columbia County 911 to Schneider Road in the Town of Livingston for a burglary of a residence.
The homeowner called 911 after receiving a text message from the home’s security system alerting the owner to movement within the residence.

Wood was found there and was arrested.
She initially provided a false identity to avoid a warrant for her arrest, police said.

Wood was also found to be in possession of stolen credit cards which she got from burglarizing a residence in the Town of Coxsackie two days earlier, police said.
She was arraigned in the Town of Acram Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond.
Wood is next scheduled to appear in the Town of Livingston Court July 26.
