Woman Injures 2 COs Trying To Escape Custody In Poughkeepsie
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said the woman was incarcerated at the time and was at a hospital.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — An Orange County woman was accused of assaulting corrections officers while trying to escape from custody.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said Julia E. Marcinak, 28, of Highland Falls, was charged Dec. 7 with second-degree assault, second-degree attempted assault and first-degree attempted escape, felonies.
The sheriff’s office said in a news release Tuesday that Marcinak was incarcerated at the Dutchess County Jail at the time of both the incident and arrest.

She is accused of assaulting two corrections officers while attempting to escape from custody at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital Dec. 7.
Both officers were treated for minor injuries as a result of the incident.
