3-Alarm Fire Torches Broadway Theater, FDNY Says

Operations are ongoing, the FDNY said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A three-alarm fire broke out Monday morning at a Broadway theater in Midtown, New York City Fire Department officials said.

According to the FDNY, the fire started around 10 a.m. at 230 West 49th St., between Broadway and Eighth Avenue.

The Eugene O'Neill Theatre, which is currently home to the Book of Mormon musical, has 192 firefighters and medics at the scene responding to the blaze.

The third alarm was called just before 11 a.m. Operations are ongoing, the FDNY said.

No one has been injured, the FDNY said.
