Police Seek Suspect After Lewd Act On Subway: NYPD

MIDTOWN, NY — Police are searching for a suspect after a man performed a "lewd act" on a subway in Midtown in front of a woman on Memorial Day, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the 42-year-old woman was on board a Manhattan-bound E train approaching the Seventh Avenue station at 7:30 a.m. when the man approached her and performed the act.

Then, the man left the station and ran away, police said.

Police said anyone with information regarding the sex abuse can call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or on X (formerly Twitter) @NYPDTips.
