Boombox Bash In Times Square Subway: Police

MIDTOWN, NY — An argument between a man and two others in a subway station abruptly ended when one slammed the other in the head with a portable speaker, police said.

The boombox bash happened on Tuesday just after 9 p.m. inside the Times Square subway station, according to officials.

As the man's argument with the pair escalated, one swung and hit another, a 38-year-old, in the head with a portable speaker, police said.

The other two men fled the station, police said, who described the duo as both five foot seven inches, about 150 pounds, light complexion, wearing sunglasses, blue jeans and carrying book bags.

First responders treated the bashed-up man who was brought to Bellevue Hospital for minor injuries, officials said.
