As of today, NYC is at a 54.9% response rate and Non-Response Follow-Up (Our census door knocking operations) have begun! Let’s get our response rate up and put money in the bank $$$$$$$$ for our neighborhoods for the next ten years! We deserve 100% - our fair share - of resources, funding, and representation based on our city's' complete population count.

AUGUST - HOST A CENSUS POP-UP!!!

Find out what's happening in Midtown-Hell's Kitchenfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

As New York City and the surrounding areas gradually re-open, we would love the opportunity to do a census pop-up, or MQA (Mobile Questionnaire Assistance) with Census Bureau Staff in your neighborhood, especially in hard to count census tracts.

This could also include having the census present at food distribution pick-up sites, at grocery stores, or medical clinics, any place with food traffic and where people can remain socially distanced. As your Partnership Specialist, I would be at the event to answer questions while our Census Response Representatives (CRRs) would intake residents’ data on their government-issued secure tablets. It would be wonderful to partner with you and earmark dates for your upcoming outdoor events. Please email me back and let me know what you have in the works and I will save the dates.

Check out how *your* neighborhood is doing compared to others here:

STILL HIRING in MANHATTAN AND QUEENS

Please spread the word about census jobs! We are still hiring census takers who live in South Manhattan (below 59th street), and some neighborhoods in Queens (Ozone Park, South Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Rego Park, etc.) APPLY ONLINE at www.2020census.gov/jobs

I look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you, mask and all, in the near future!

Thank you for your partnership as we continue to count everyone once, only once, and in the right place in 2020. "
