New Series Examines The World of Go-Go boys, Male Burlesque and Porn Performers

GaySVTVworld’s ‘xxx’-citing new show, Trade2Trade, stars Kalle Westerling and Monét X Change as they sit down and dish with the nation’s top go-go boys, male burlesque performers and porn stars. Directed by David Serrano, each episode features an in-depth interview and a segment where guests teach Kalle and Monet something about their life: a routine, a pole dance or even how to deep throat. Guests so far have included adult film superstar Boomer Banks, Burlesque performer Chris Harder, and go-go boy turned fitness instructor Geronimo.

Westerling and network founder Sherry Vine came up with the idea for the show last spring in a New York coffee shop. “It took us a while to hammer out all the details, figuring out the guests we wanted for the first season,” remembers Westerling.

Westerling as host for the new series was a no-brainer. But who would co-host? They found the perfect candidate in NYC drag queen Monét X Change.

“I’ve always been intrigued by go-go boys,” explains Monét. “Especially how many of them are actually straight men. I remember discovering 'No Parking' up in Washington Heights back in the day, and thinking, ‘Oh, this is where all the masculine men are!’, only to find out that 90% were hetero!”

Kalle Westerling and Monét X Change began shooting the series this summer.

“Our guests are a breathtaking bunch of people who viewers will fall in love with,” continues Westerling, noting that guest Chris Harder made a particular impression on him. “Chris taught us how to take off a tie and dance provocatively with it. Without giving too much away, it’s important not to ‘floss’ between your legs with the tie but, as Chris instructs, to ‘commit your taint to the action’.”

Why does the gay community need a show like Trade2Trade, you ask? According to Monet, “Our community needs to know that behind the tantalizing acts, strippers, performers and dancers are real people, with interesting and complex lives. They’re entrepreneurs, making a living off of their God-given talents.”

“They prove that our community is vibrant, colorful and exciting, and that not everyone wants a pretty little wedding and to be like everyone else,” adds Westerling.

The hosts already have several artists in mind for season two, scheduled to begin filming this Spring. “I would love to interview pornstar Eduardo Picasso,” says Monét. “He is Brazilian and doesn’t speak a lick of English but we don’t need him to talk! It would be our performance art episode and he can perform all over me.”

Westerling has his heart set on Levi Karter, “because I have a crush on him and I would totally fangirl out if he'd step onto our set.”
