A millionaire off cryptocurrency is sharing his plans of building a utopian village in the state of Nevada. Jeffrey Berns is planning on building a city that will run entirely on the blockchain. The infrastructure of the community will be decentralized and will prove that a community can live outside the global capitalistic world. The people will all hold the power, and cryptocurrency will be the exchange value.

With the world changing, this is going to be a new type of experiment that will show that commerce and living can go alongside the rest of the world. The innovations and technologies will create a different type of interaction among citizens. The system will be maintained based on democracy and fairness.

The area that is going to be part of the city limits is around 67,000 acres large. It is located in the Nevada desert also known as “Innovation Park”. The city will be located around the industrial park of the Tesla Gigafacotry and large buildings of Google and Apple.

Blockchains LLC, a company of Berns, bought the land earlier in 2018 for $170 million. The entire project is funded by Berns and money he earned by investing in Ethereum in 2015. According to Berns, blockchain technologies are the answer to the economic systems that the world operates by.

The Blockchains company will begin construction of the city in the latter part of 2019 after the development of a detailed plan of the city and acquiring approval by the county.
